Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner - Locums Assignment, Texas - No Call

Work full-time with a supportive urgent care team in west Texas; this short-term NP locums role starts this fall in Odessa.


Highlights

  • Full-time, predictable schedule with no call

Practice Setting

  • Two urgent care clinics 20 minutes apart
  • Outpatient-only setting
  • Support from LVNs, MAs, RNs, rad techs, and supervising MDs
  • Full access to Epic EMR and 340B educator for onboarding


Schedule

  • 2-on, 2-off, 3-on rotating schedule
  • 12-hour weekdays (8:30a-8:30p), weekends 10a-6p
  • Coverage through at least November (maternity leave)
  • One site per day only


Cases and Procedures

  • B&B urgent care: flu, infections, migraines, injuries, etc.
  • Minor procedures: suturing, I&D, toenail removal, drug screen observation
  • 30-40 patients per day
  • Ages 6 months and up


Requirements

  • Texas NP license required
  • DEA, BLS, and PALS certifications
  • 2+ years UC experience (or 1+ year from high-volume setting)


Travel Accommodations

  • Mileage reimbursed
  • Lodging provided by client; apartment or hotel arranged in advance
