AALNC-Legal Nurse Consultant Jumpstart

Nancy Valla is a healthcare executive with several decades of accomplishments working in health systems; hospitals, physician practices, managed care organizations, insurance companies, and consulting. Most recently she united her obsession with patient safety / quality of care, respect for the legal system, and entrepreneurial spirit to create VALLADATION; a legal nurse consulting company dedicated to assisting law firms in the pursuit of evidence-based truth and health systems with improving their patient and staff engagement environment. Nancy is a Bachelor’s prepared RN with a Master of Education, and PhD in Organizational / Industrial Psychology. Of course Nancy has her AALNC LNCC along with FACHE, NEA-BC, SHRM-SCP and other certifications, in addition to being actively engaged in CAALA and CELA.

Judy Young is a legal nurse consultant, from Florida. She has been practicing in the field of legal nurse consulting for over 25 years and has experience in behind-the-scenes medical malpractice for both plaintiff and defense, nursing expert witness in critical care and nursing administration, and product liability. She currently works behind the scenes for a medical malpractice defense law firm, in Maitland, Florida. She has been a member of AALNC and the Greater Orlando Chapter since 2005 and has served as an AALNC Director at Large and currently serves on the Leadership Succession Committee. She is also the webmaster and Chair of Education and Membership, for the Greater Orlando Chapter, and a member of all of the AALNC Chapters.

Robin Axtell has worked as an Independent Legal Nurse Consultant for 24 years with Wood Atter & Wolf as the behind-the-scenes Personal Injury Plaintiff. Robin is also an active clinical nurse with more than 37 years with experience in the Emergency Room, ICU, and Medical Surgical practices and is currently working Per Diem with UF Health in Jacksonville, Florida. Since 2014, she has served as an Expert for Emergency Room and Medical Surgical cases for law firms all around the country. Robin has been an active member of AALNC since 2005 and is currently the President of the Greater Orlando Chapter.
